Lauren & Adam’s Beautiful Seaside Celebration at Scarborough Spa
Some weddings just feel extra special from the start — and Lauren & Adam’s was one of those days I’ll never forget. We first met at a wedding fayre at Scarborough Spa, where they stopped by my stand and instantly connected with the photos from a previous wedding I’d shot there. They told me right away that they just knew I was the photographer for them — and from that first conversation, I knew their day was going to be something amazing.
Fast forward to 2nd August 2025, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect for a coastal wedding. Blue skies, a gentle sea breeze, and that unmistakable sound of the waves below the Spa — it all came together beautifully for their celebration by the seaside.
A Heartfelt Ceremony in Seamer
Lauren & Adam’s day began with a touching ceremony at St. Martin’s Church in Seamer. The church was filled with smiles, happy tears, and a real sense of warmth from their family and friends. The moment Lauren walked down the aisle was absolutely beautiful — you could see just how much it meant to both of them.
After some lovely confetti moments outside, we headed off towards the coast, ready for a day full of laughter and celebration at one of Scarborough’s most iconic wedding venues.
Celebrating at Scarborough Spa
Arriving at the Scarborough Spa for the reception always feels a bit magical. There’s just something about that sea air and the view stretching out across the bay that makes this venue such a unique place to celebrate.
Lauren and Adam’s wedding party brought the energy from the very start — their bridesmaids and groomsmen were fantastic, full of laughter, helping make the day flow effortlessly and keeping everyone smiling. The Spa’s beautiful spaces gave us plenty of room for relaxed group shots, fun candid moments, and some stunning couple portraits along the promenade.
The light that day was perfect — soft and golden, the kind that makes every frame feel romantic and timeless. I always say Scarborough Spa has its own kind of charm; whether it’s the architecture, the views, or the sound of the sea in the background, it all comes together to create something truly special.
Singing Waiters and a Reception to Remember
One of the standout moments from the day came during the wedding breakfast, when the singing waiters surprised guests with an incredible performance. The room erupted with laughter, singing, and dancing — it was such a fun, unexpected burst of energy that set the tone for the rest of the evening.
It’s moments like that which make weddings so memorable — the genuine joy, the laughter, and those shared moments between family and friends that everyone will still be talking about years from now.
A Day Full of Joy, Laughter, and Love
From the first dance to the last laugh, Lauren and Adam’s wedding was filled with joy from start to finish. Every detail reflected them perfectly — relaxed, fun, and full of heart. The speeches had everyone both laughing and tearing up, and as the evening light dipped over the sea, we snuck out for a few final portraits with that gorgeous coastal glow.
Those little moments — a look, a laugh, a quiet smile between them — are exactly why I love what I do.
A Venue Close to My Heart
I’ve photographed several weddings at Scarborough Spa, and it’s always such a pleasure to return. The staff are wonderful to work with, and the location offers so many opportunities for creative photography — from the historic architecture to the nearby beach and promenade.
Lauren & Adam’s day was the perfect reminder of why I love seaside weddings so much. It’s that mix of elegance, fun, and fresh sea air that makes days like this unforgettable.
